It’s time to round out the field for the Monster Jam World Finals® XVIII. This year’s event starts soon (March 23-25) and will feature these competitors.
Bari Musawwir will compete in his fifth World Finals, bringing the popular ZombieTM truck to the delight of the fans. Bari has a 5-4 record in Racing competition in the main event and will be looking to improve on his score of 23 from last year’s Freestyle.
Chad Fortune will join the field for his 15th World Finals, bringing Soldier Fortune for its third straight appearance. Fortune spent some time in the Freestyle Hot Seat a few years back and is itching for a return and a championship.
Lee O’Donnell will be back with the VP Racing Fuels Mad ScientistTM. This will be the truck’s second appearance, but O’Donnell will be making his eighth start in the Monster Jam World Finals. O’Donnell has won three Racing Championships and a Freestyle so far in 2017.
Another driver with a hot hand coming into Monster Jam World Finals is Colton Eichelberger, who has earned his third appearance. Coming back in Max-DTM for the second consecutive year, Colton has had a split schedule that allowed him to compete in arenas and stadiums leading into this competition. He scored two stadium Freestyle wins in four starts.
Colt Stephens, driving FS1 CleatusTM, will become the latest second generation driver to be a part of a Monster Jam World Finals field. His father, Scott, competed in 2000. Colt competed in Thursday night Racing in 2015.
Rosalee Ramer, Monster Jam’s 2016 Rookie of the Year, will get her first shot at the Monster Jam World Finals field. Ramer and Wild Flower were on the FS1 West Series, where she picked up two Wheelie competition wins.
Great Clips Mohawk WarriorTM and driver Bryce Kenny have been selected to be a part of this year’s Monster Jam World Finals. The second-year driver competed on the Triple Threat Series West presented by AMSOIL, highlighted by an event win in Tucson.
A second El Toro Loco® truck will be driven by Becky McDonough, who gets her first chance to compete in the Friday and Saturday competition. Since World Finals XVII, Becky has scored stadium Freestyle wins in Minneapolis and Toronto.
Buddy Tompkins and Razin’ Kane will round out the field of 31 selected competitors. It will be the first chance for both truck and driver to compete in the Friday and Saturday activity.
The final spot in the 32-truck field will be reserved for the winner of the Double Down Showdown, which will be held Thursday, March 23. A field of 16 competitors will line up for that chance to move on through the weekend competition. The Double Down Showdown competitors will be announced on March 15.
