Week 1 of Monster Jam competition is in the books! While Team Grave Digger drivers all picked up competition or overall wins, some unexpected names also showed up, giving us plenty of storylines to watch heading into the 2024 season.

Stadium Championship Series West:

With Adam Anderson (Grave Digger), Ryan Anderson (Son-uva Digger), Camden Murphy (Bakugan Dragonoid), Bari Musawwir (Zombie) and other big names all on the same tour, you know this one is going to be fun to watch. This series kicked off with two events in San Francisco, with Musawwir and Murphy taking the Saturday and Sunday Event Championships respectively. While the Anderson brothers picked up a win apiece in the Racing competitions, it was Musawwir who won both Freestyles and holds a 7-point lead after Week 1.

Arena Championship Series Central:

Having won back-to-back championships in just his first two seasons, the target in this series is on the back of Weston Anderson (Grave Digger). Sure enough, after the opening weekend in Nashville, Anderson leads the points… but only by 1 point. Hot on his heels is Jamie Sullivan (Monster Mutt Dalmatian) who took two Racing wins and one Freestyle win throughout the weekend. El Toro Loco’s rookie driver Fernando Martinez, along with Brandan Tulachka in Just Get-Er-Done, also picked up competition wins and will be ones to watch throughout the season.

Arena Championship Series West:

With four events in Salt Lake City for their opening weekend, this series sees Brandon Vinson (Grave Digger) holding just a seven-point lead over Dalton Widner in Jurassic Attack. Widner won three of the four Racing competitions throughout the weekend, finishing runner-up in the one he lost. Meanwhile, Vinson won three out of the four Skills competitions and two apiece in Donuts and Freestyle. Ashley Sanford (Megalodon), MJ Solorio (El Toro Loco) and Tony Ochs (ThunderROARus) also picked up competition wins throughout the weekend.

Arena Championship Series East:

Six of the stars of Arena Championship Series East were on hand in Florence, SC, this weekend for three non-points events. For Krysten Anderson (Grave Digger), it was a good thing that points weren’t on the line, as the black-and-green wrecking machine fought mechanical gremlins throughout the weekend. Anderson won overall Saturday afternoon, but Saturday evening and Sunday went the way of Armando Castro (El Toro Loco). Chad Tingler (Over Bored) won Freestyle on Sunday and Racing Saturday evening, Zack Garner (Wild Side) won Freestyle Saturday afternoon, and Mark Hall (Raminator) beat Kurt Kraehmer (Rammunition) in the Saturday afternoon Racing finals, in a true battle of the Rams.
