The excitement is building as Monster Jam® heads for a traditional July stop at Maryland’s Hagerstown Speedway. The ½-mile dirt racing oval has been on the schedule for over 20 years.
The field includes five drivers who have won events at Hagerstown, led by Randy Brown in Grave Digger®. In the last four appearances at Hagerstown with Randy Brown at the controls, Grave Digger has won five Racing championships and seven Freestyle titles.
Damon Bradshaw and Monster Energy® return from a 2014 appearance and a Racing victory. Ryan Anderson will bring Son-uva Digger® back to the competition. He won two Racing championships in the 2013 Hagerstown visit.
For the first time since 1999, Carolina Crusher® will be in the field of competitors for a Hagerstown Monster Jam. Gary Porter came to town while driving Grave Digger in 2010 and 2011, winning a pair of Racing titles and adding a Freestyle for good measure.
2015 Monster Jam World Finals® Freestyle Champion Mike Vaters II thrilled fans at his hometown show last year with his ninth Freestyle win of the year. He will be looking for a repeat victory in a tough field with his Overkill Evolution.
Back by popular demand, Nicole Johnson and Scooby-Doo!TM will return from a 2013 appearance. Lee O’Donnell will bring the new VP Racing Fuels Mad ScientistTM to the track for the first time. O’Donnell last competed at Hagerstown in 2011.
