Monster Jam and St. Jude Partnership

Feld Entertainment® and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are expanding their partnership to continue to support the St. Jude mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®

Over the past three seasons, Supercross has raised more than $300,000 for St. Jude through various activations including the This Shirt Saves Lives campaign.

New this season, Monster Jam will join the movement and help push fundraising to a new level. Each of the seven domestic Monster Jam tours will have a driver-athlete as a dedicated St. Jude ambassador to help raise awareness. Feld Entertainment hosts over 300 events with Monster Jam in arenas and stadiums. Fans of Monster Jam® can support St. Jude when attending events in 2020 through the text to donate campaign to ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all they should worry about is helping their child live.

Fundraising efforts for Monster Jam will kick off the weekend of January 17, 2020 to support the third annual This Shirt Saves Lives campaign, which goes live during the seven Monster Jam events around the country. Through the text to donate campaign, fans will have the opportunity to receive an exclusive This Shirt Saves Lives T-shirt with the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital logo and the Monster Jam logo on the back. In addition, Monster Jam will hold an auction kicking off in February during “This Race Saves Lives” events which will run through May 4, 2020.

“Supercross riders and fans came out in full force last year, serving as a model for what can happen when a dedicated group comes together to help those who are most vulnerable – our children,” said Richard Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. “We are appreciative of the boost in support from Feld Entertainment, Supercross, and now Monster Jam and grateful for the increasing number of fans who have chosen to join their favorite racers and drivers in the This Shirt Saves Lives campaign. Together, we are helping to ensure St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital can continue the fight against childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases here at home and around the world.”

Feld Entertainment will celebrate their commitment to St. Jude by activating their fan base of millions through their motorsports properties and also their 2,300 associates worldwide by amplifying fundraising and volunteer efforts to support the St. Jude mission. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to more than 80 percent since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude will not stop until no child dies from cancer.

RECORDS INCLUDE FASTEST SPEED IN A MONSTER TRUCK AND MOST MONSTER TRUCKS JUMPED BY A MONSTER TRUCK 

 

Monster Jam®, the larger than life sport that leaves fans on the edge of their seats, has etched itself in the history books.  GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS®, the global authority in record-breaking, validated six official titles after successful attempts at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida.

Brother and sister duo Adam Anderson and Krysten Anderson from the “First Family of Monster Jam” each set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORD title. Adam broke the record for Most Monster Trucks Jumped by a Monster Truck, a record previously set by Colton Eichelberger at the 2019 Monster Jam World Finals™. Driving Megalodon®, Adam jumped 8 Monster Jam trucks, besting Eichelberger’s previous record by one truck. Krysten, the first and only female driver of Grave Digger®, set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORD title for the Highest Jump in a Monster Truck. On her first and only attempt, she traveled 33.8 feet in the air, crushing the existing record by 12.5 feet.

Great Clips Mohawk Warrior® driver Bryce Kenny became the first person to break the 100mph barrier, setting the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD title for Fastest Speed in a Monster Truck with a speed of 100.31mph. Kenny is no stranger to speed, having previously competed with the IHRA driving a top fuel dragster at speeds up to 300mph.

12-time Monster Jam World Finals® Champion, Tom Meents, traveled 209 feet to earn the record of the Longest Nose Wheelie in a Monster Truck. Balancing on the front two tires of Max-D™, Meents broke the previous record of 50.85 feet. Sadly, though his fifth attempt traveled more than 600 feet, it was disqualified from record contention because all four tires did not land on the ground.

Bari Musawwir became the holder of two separate GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles: Most Donuts in One Minute in a Monster Truck and Most Consecutive Donuts in a Monster Truck. Driving the Zombie™ Monster Jam truck and staying within a 77-foot circle, Musawwir completed 44 donuts (spins) in one minute and 58 consecutively, beating the existing records of 41 for both. More than 100 donuts were performed across four attempts before proving successful.

Todd LeDuc attempted a seventh GUINNESS WORLD RECORD title, aiming to be the first and only driver to complete a forward momentum double backflip in a monster truck. The stunt took weeks to develop, with no fewer than 12 practice attempts by two different drivers. On his first record attempt, the Monster Energy® Monster Jam truck engine blew, causing the truck to complete a single rotation. On-site technicians worked tirelessly and swiftly to swap the motor so that LeDuc could try one more time. Unfortunately, this attempt also proved futile, as the truck only completed 1.5 rotations before landing into a pit of cars.

BACK IN THE ACTION!

Monster Jam® returns after a pandemic pause, roaring into Arlington for a high-octane weekend at AT&T Stadium on October 24th and 25th.  Monster Jam Preferred Customers can purchase advance tickets starting today, September 22nd, to get the best seats available before tickets go on-sale to the general public on September 29th.  Fans can still sign up to become a Monster Jam Preferred Customer and get exclusive access to the pre-sale offer code.

Monster Jam has implemented enhanced health measures to ensure the highest standards of wellness when it comes to today’s live experience. Seating capacity will be reduced at AT&T Stadium to a Pod Seating structure, which will allow family and friends to safely enjoy all the action while social distancing from other groups in attendance. As an additional precaution for fans, a face covering is required for those age 2 and older.  Fans can also read more about AT&T Stadium’s Safe Stadium Policy.

The all-star truck lineup marks the first time in regular competition that the three Anderson siblings will battle against each other in the same Monster Jam event: the legendary Grave Digger® will be driven by Krysten; fan-favorite Adam trades his black and green wrecking machine for Megalodon®, the truck that redefined the phrase “jumping the shark” and set the GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ title for the most monster trucks jumped by a monster truck; and in a limited-time, special appearance, Ryan gets behind the wheel of Bakugan Dragonoid™.

12-time Monster Jam World Finals® champion Tom Meents will be competing in Max-D™ Fire, while Todd LeDuc aims to crush the competition in Monster Energy®.  Lucas Oil Crusader® returns to AT&T Stadium with Linsey Weenk in the driver’s seat.  Rounding out this world-class roster are GUINNESS WORLD RECORD title holders Bryce Kenny in Great Clips Mohawk Warrior® and Bari Musawwir in Zombie™, both featured in the August Discovery Channel TV special Diesel Brothers: Monster Jam Breaking World Records. Cory Rummell vies for the championship in Rage, while father and son duo Matt Pagliarulo and Nick Pagliarulo take to the track in Jester and Kraken, respectively.  Axe, driven by Chris Koehler, claims the last spot in the epic 12-truck lineup.

As one of the innovators of the bicycle stunt, Ryan Anderson has etched his place in GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ history, setting a title for the farthest bicycle (side wheelie) in a monster truck, as seen on the Monster Jam® broadcast on NBCSN.

Traveling 891 feet, 10.08 inches in his standard competition-ready Son-uva Digger® Monster Jam truck,  Anderson bested the previous record by more than 800 feet.

Anderson is one of 6 Monster Jam drivers, including siblings Adam and Krysten, who set GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles earlier this year.

The longest monster truck wheelie (distance) is 190.46 m (624 ft 10.44 in), and was achieved by Adam Anderson (USA) driving Grave Digger in Bradenton, Florida, USA, on 22 June 2020.

Anderson is one of 6 Monster Jam drivers, including siblings Ryan and Krysten, who set GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles earlier this year.

TWO KITS: GRAVE DIGGER®& MAX-D®

Two different kits, including Monster Jam Grave Digger® (42118) and Monster Jam Max-D® (42119), will hit stores in early 2021.

Grave Digger® features include graphics with ghost and fire details, huge tires, a movable flag, and red headlights. Max-D® features include authentic graphics and colors, spikes, and a movable flag. Both trucks include pull-back motors and are 2-in-1 toys, so builders can enjoy two building challenges. The Grave Digger® model rebuilds into an off-road buggy and the Max-D® 2-in-1 monster truck toy rebuilds into a pull-back quad bike.
